Geographe Bay Yacht Club - Learn to Sail - 2

You have already completed Learn to Sail 1 and are ready for the next course.

Course will run from  8.30am to Noon over 7 weeks every Saturday.

You will learn Boat Handling Skills, Confidence,  Safety and Sailing Theory

Please bring your Enthusiasm and Adventure Spirit.

Course Fee = $299

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - AUSTRALIAN SAILING NUMBER - Free to Register.

Once you begin registration for this course you will be prompted to obtain an Australian Sailing Number (or use your Current One). There are links provided to sign up for an Australian Sailing Number or Find your Existing Number.

This is Free and provides you access to Australian Sailing's Personal Insurance at no cost which you must have to participate in the course.

Course Overview
This course equips participants with boat rigging knowledge and sailing skills to sail a dinghy on their own. 

Course Prerequisites

Water confident, and the skills and knowledge gained in Start Sailing 1.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who have completed Start Sailing 1 and are wanting to learn and continue to develop their fundamental sailing skills.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Sailing 2 completion certificate. 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
