A Special Resolution is proposed for the purpose of updating Geographe Bay Yacht Club (Inc) Rules
Proposed changes by Special Resolution
1. Rule 5.2(a) Classes of Members - Add ‘Youth Member’
2. Rule 5.11(d) Honorary Members
Current Rule - All Honorary Members shall be elected for a period of one (1) calendar month dating from the date of election, but the Committee may extend such Honorary Membership for any period not exceeding three (3) Months.
Proposed - All Honorary Members shall be elected for a period of one (1) calendar month dating from the date of election, but the Committee may extend such Honorary Membership for any period not exceeding Twelve (12) calendar months for the purpose of election of Committee or Flag officer duties only.
3. Rule 5.19(a) Guests and Visitors
Current Rule – ‘No member may introduce more than three (3) guests to the Club premises at any one time.’
Proposed – ‘No member may introduce more than five (5) guests to the Club premises at any one time.’
4. Rule 10.1 (d)(iv) - Add ‘maximum of 4 on the committee at any one time.’
5. Rule 24.1 Badge and Uniform - Delete white trousers/skirt and amend to Navy trousers/skirt
