The Committee of GBYC is asking all Senior Sailing members to a Special General Meeting on Wednesday 4th November 2026 at 7pm to vote on a proposal to borrow $150 000 from either the City of Busselton or National Australia Bank for the removal & replacement of the roof of the Clubhouse.

Extensive costings have been done over the last 18 months & our estimated cost is $340000 to complete the works.

As these costings are aged we are budgeting $400 000 to get the job done.

Committee voted to get on with the job now as a lot of the companies doing asbestos removal are leaving the industry as regulations become more onerous & rising insurance premiums. We believe this will make costs go up making the replacement more expensive.
