Annual General Meeting

Published Tue 16 Jun 2026

The Geographe Bay Yacht Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) is fast approaching, with just one week to go until we gather on Tuesday 23 June at 7:00pm at the Club.

We are encouraging all Sailing Members to please take a moment to RSVP—whether you are attending or unable to make it. This helps the Club plan appropriately for the evening and ensures we have a clear understanding of member engagement.

Why the AGM Matters

The AGM is one of the most important dates in the Club calendar. It provides members with the opportunity to hear directly about the year that has been, and what lies ahead for the Club.

During the meeting, members will receive updates on:

  • The Club’s achievements and activities over the past year
  • Financial reports and overall Club performance
  • Upcoming projects and future planning
  • The election of Committee members

It is also an opportunity for members to ask questions, provide feedback, and better understand how the Club is managed and operated.

Why Your Attendance is Important

Strong member participation is essential for a healthy and well-functioning Club. AGMs ensure transparency, accountability, and give members a voice in shaping the future direction of the organisation.

For Sailing Members in particular, attendance helps ensure that the needs and priorities of our on-water community are well represented in Club decision-making.

Even if you are unable to attend, your RSVP is still important and greatly appreciated.

Get Involved

The Club continues to rely on volunteers and active members to support its ongoing success. We always welcome new ideas, fresh perspectives, and members who are interested in becoming more involved in Committee roles or sub-committees.

If you would like to learn more about getting involved, please speak with any Committee Member on the night or contact the Club office.

We Look Forward to Seeing You There

We encourage all Sailing Members to attend this important meeting and be part of the conversation about the future of Geographe Bay Yacht Club.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 23 June at 7:00pm.
