Welcome to Geographe Bay Yacht Club
Welcome to Geographe Bay Yacht Club
Situated in Busselton in the south west of Western Australia, the Geographe Bay Yacht Club overlooks the vast expanse of sheltered water from which the club takes it's name.
It commands a superlative vantage point on the long stretch of sand for which Geographe Bay is renowned, and is only a short distance from the town centre. From the modern Clubhouse, you can take in the whole bay from Capel to Cape Naturaliste, including the famous 1.8 km Busselton Jetty.
Geographe Bay is an ideal body of water for sailing and has been the focal point of sailing in the South West for over 50 years, hosting large numbers of boats in regular club events, various State and National Titles in addition to hosting various annual regattas.
The Club Marine Geographe Bay Race Week, to be held from Sunday 18 and Friday 23 February, has been running for 17 years and is Western Australia’s premier yachting regatta. Yachts sail to Busselton from Perth, Fremantle and from as far away as Geraldton, Albany and Esperance to compete, with local, interstate and overseas crews onboard.
Spectators will be able to watch and photograph the spectacular, colourful display of yachts racing in close proximity of the historic Busselton jetty. To catch this unique event, get down to the Busselton jetty and foreshore daily from 1.00pm (except Wed.).
